This place was great and had great prices. I got the chicken and filet combo with fried rice, soup, and salad and everything was perfect. Makes me hungry again just writing about it! Good service, great food, great prices... Can't go wrong.

For the location, the restaurant far exceeds our expectations! St. George is a super small town, and obviously this is the only Japanese restaurant in the town that is located in pretty much the only big plaza in the town, so you can imagine. We went in with really low expectations but the meal surpassed them by a lot! If this were in a big city like LA, I'd still give it at least 3 stars! There was ample space in the dining area with unique decor with character. I also like how they place their furniture. Service was very friendly and attentive, one of the reasons being that we were one of the 3 groups of people there at that time too. Food wise... I got their udon, and geez! They gave me a whole cast iron pot of soup udon! It was definitely unexpected and I couldn't help taking a photo of course! The presentation scored, and the food was impressive too. Udon texture was cooked perfectly, with the crunchy shrimp tempura, delicious broth and fresh toppings, it was the best meal I had on a chilly day Utah day in the winter. Pork cutlet combo included the delicious, crunchy cutlet, al dente rice and crispy green salad with creamy Japanese mayo dressing. Along with the food, I also ordered a green tea, which was served in a personal metal tea pot! The tea didn't only have a good presentation, but an intense, raw flavor too, which is how green tea is supposed to taste like! Happy meal and we walked out with satisfied tummies. :)

Interior of this place is awesome, very nice furnishings and décor. Very Japanese, pushing authentic but definitely visually pleasing. Service, however, could stand some improvement and they're overall somewhat slow, even with a mostly empty restaurant. Ambiance was definitely pretty nice. Tempuras were decent, but the contents were odd relative to the menu description. The sushi rolls featured mayo and cream cheese heavily. A lot of them were also fried, so the authenticity went pretty quickly out the window. The tuna nigiri was excellent and everything else was pretty average. Even ginger was a bit on the weak side. Crab with a "k", lots of catfood-y spiced meat concoctions. We have basically a 50% off place charging full prices. They also have a hibachi grill on several of the tables, so maybe that's better, but sushi probably would not be anything I'd care to repeat again, about what you'd expect from a smaller town in a landlocked state.

This is the fourth or fifth time eating here, and I've yet to be disappointed. We've had Liz as our server almost every time, and she's the bomb. The kids usually get hibachi, while the wife and I eat the amazing sushi. We've eaten at Sakura in the past, but we keep coming back to Ninja. Great food and excellent people!

I have been coming in here for a while now and really like their food. Their sushi is the best! I had the Green Roll for lunch and really liked it. I will be coming back again in the near future for lunch or dinner.

Well one of the reviews gave this place a higher rating because Saint George is a small town. Small town yes, but there is good food to be had. Not at this place! We have tried many restaurants here in Saint George, and had yet to try this place. So to celebrate the first day of school, off we went. First off the waiter acted like he had better things to do. There was only one other table occupied in the whole place on a Thursday night at 6:30. Once the waiter came to take our drink order, he took 3 out of 4 people's drink orders and then walked away. My son, whom we came to celebrate got water and was never asked. We shrugged it off. Then it came time to order............I asked what the chicken stir fry included. He gave me an annoyed look and said stir fried chicken. I said then I must assume that the Teriyaki Beef just consisted of Teriyaki Beef, and he nodded.. The rest of the table ordered Tempura and Sushi. The Beef was chewy and tough. The Tempura was barely cooked, and tasteless, and the Sushi was mediocre at best. The waiter walked by ONCE and asked how was dinner, we nodded and off he went. Didn't see him for another 1/2 hour. In closing we will not come back here on my dime. $80.00 later, and I think Panda Express would've been a better meal.

Sorry but the sushi is pretty bad. The Wasabi was so old that it lost its flavor. Sushi chef told me to use more. Rice was dried out and the fish was fishy. Hope i don't get sick.

We went there about mid-April with another couple. We had coupons for buy one get one at 1/2 off. Then things went really bad. - They refused to honor the coupons - The waiter could not tell us whether "Medium Well" would result in pink still being in the meat. - The tea the waiter brought to our table was cold. - One person got an over-cooked meal and two others got under-cooked meals. We WILL NOT be going back.

This is the former Samurai 21. Its pretty good. I personally visit Sakura more often as its closer to me and I like their food better, but don't let that deter you if you think you'll like eating here, because you most likely will enjoy it. The hibachi is a lot of fun, especially if you want to bring your young ones.

I'm not going to lie live in St George over 10 years now moved from salt lake it's nice to see something new from the sushi roll to the hibachi or so called teppan yaki chef if you want to see something different go and give ninja a try just go in and try it out for yourself instead of hearing it from another person or restaurant!! We didn't want to try this place out because it used to be samurai 21 and we had a bad experience last time we where there and thought they changed there name and found out they are not related to samurai 21 or sakura!! They also have another ninja out in cedar city and someone told us they are planning to open late for late night sushi and sake bomb which will be so cool there is Notting to do after hours in St George we will be there!!

The food was delicious. We had an stay of things...sushi, udon soup, and appitizer. Start to finish all the food was perfect. Staff is very friendly and fun. It was a little busy as it was Friday night but we were still taken care of. Nice change. We will be back for sure :)

Pretty good. Sushi was fresh and was quickly made. I went with my son and they were prompt with his good as well. Sushi is good for a quick stop to fix a craving. Decently priced for what you get. Only reason it fell short of a 5 star is because the waitress wasn't the friendliest, but at least she refilled our drinks and served the food as soon as it was done being made.

I have been to many sushi restaurants and this is by far my favorite place to get sushi in st George! I've gone there now about 4 times and service was pretty bad from everytime we had a female server.. One time our server only came back once and the sushi chef even came to our table to take our refill our drinks and get the few at the table new beers and saki... Other then thr service this place makes good sushi.. Awesome spicy edamame and the last time we did the hibachi and it was great! We had Jason as our cook and he put on an awesome show! He is quite the comedian! Our family has done the hibachi experience multiple times from all over Utah to Nevada to California and he was by far the best cook we have ever had! Food was excellent! He deserves 5 stars and made out dining experience an incredible one but for the other times we have gone service has been so bad from the female servers that it's not fair to give this place 5 stars..

The food here is great. You have to give it a try. Sushi fan or not get the fried noodles and the salmon. Many of the rolls are put together to bring out some awesome flavors. They are great people and the atmosphere is great.

I love Ninja! This is THE place in this area to get great sushi, an amazing hibachi show, and don't you dare leave without trying their spicy edamame. Pariseth & co are friendly & fun, and always accommodating. This is my favorite hidden gem in St. George; share the secret!

I have been here many times. When it first opened the service and quality of food seemed pretty great. Definitely nothing to complain about. Well, that is not the case for the past 4 or 5 times I've gone. Each time I told myself it would be different and I'd give it another chance, as I used to be able to get relatively good sushi for a great price, but today was the last straw. Each time the service has been extremely slow and unfriendly, (tonights visit the only exception to the slow service, the host behind the counter was quick and friendly) and it seems that each time I revisit the sushi gets worse and worse in quality. Tonights visit, DEFINITELY no exception. Something smelled very wrong in that to go box. I don't know if I just have bad luck and catch Ninja at it's worst, but I remember the service and food being so good at one point that I'd suggest it to all of my friends when trying to find a place to eat, so it really is disappointing to me that I have to write this review, but I am just so sick of spending good money at this place, only to receive less than my money's worth. And I don't appreciate being on hold for 12+ minutes just to make a to go order. So, unless I hear that things change, it is unlikely I will be coming back, which, again is disappointing because I appreciated the slightly cheaper cost of sushi compared to benjas or sakura, but at this point it's definitely worth it to me to spend a couple more dollars to get better service and quality food.

Went here for lunch when it replaced Samurai 21. Got greeted and put in close quarters with everyone else. Sushi was pretty good, probably what they do best. Had the dragon roll and the caterpillar. Unfortunately we also ordered the lunch boxes. Nothing to brag about. Tempura was crunchy but needed more flavor, the salad was standard of Asian cuisine, and the chicken teriyaki my wife said was dry and far too small a portion (like 2 oz. for $7.99). Service was impersonal and mostly just Take Order and Serve. I'm actually good with that most of the time as I go for food, not service. But it should've tipped me off not to order an entree and stick to sushi when I ordered my rolls and the server took my menu, even after we had mentioned we would start with sushi and go from there. Definitely would rather pay more and go to Sakura's of Benja's for better sushi AND a great entree.

Came in around 5pm on a Friday afternoon and were seated right away. We decided to have the hibachi/teppanyaki side for dinner and it was a great experience !! Service was fast and we had the nicest, most entertaining chef ! We ordered the dinner special for two which included: appetizer of beef teriyaki AND chicken yakitori, onion soup, salad, fried rice, NY strip steak, chicken, AND shrimp, and vegetables, anddd 2 scoops of icecream !! All for $49.95. Food was DELICIOUS. Just FYI: the green tea icecream here isn't as sweet as other places. I would recommend getting the other flavors and I love green tea icecream. But we loved our dining experience here regardless. 5 stars hands down !
